to bring winter necessities to
Syrian refugees in Lesbos, Greece!
Dear Friends,
As many of you know, last week an incredible gesture of love and compassion took place between the citizens of Israel and the refugees from Syria stranded on the island of Lesbos, Greece.
After a severe ice-storm struck the refugee camps, creating a life-or-death situation, people across Israel rallied to provide 1.5 tons of winter clothing and supplies and flew it to Greece within five days!
But our efforts are not done!
While visiting the refugee camps where our aid is being distributed, we discovered that there are still thousands of urgently needed winter items that must be secured. A Greek wholesaler has agreed to provide the items immediately, and at very low cost. But we need to raise $10,000.00 in order to help cover those minimal costs! (The actual supply need is close to $300,000.00, but our Israeli aid mission is seeking to help cover the costs of the most urgent supplies of all)
